After graduating from high school, Peter set to work inventing new routines and reworking existing ones for the 2002 Howard County Fair. This year Peter's brother Matt was a major part of many routines, bringing visual gags and slapstick comedy.
At the time, Shazam Magic only had one wireless microphone, so the decision was made to keep Matt silent onstage, partially homage to magicians Penn & Teller, but also as a functional solution. Audiences responded so well that Matt continues to reprise his role as the silent onstage sidekick.
A new backstage wall, as well as brightly-colored magic boxes, and a louder sound system, kept the fairgoers visually entertained even when there was no magic occuring onstage.
For the show's finale, Peter and Matt had an audience volunteer help them pretend that it was "Christmas in August," and after some holiday magic tricks, caused a snowstorm to appear and blow out onto the audience.
